Work experience is a valuable way of getting into a local company to see what it is really like.

By visiting a company and spending some time with them, you will learn a lot about how the company works, the kind of careers opportunities available and the types of skills and personal qualities they are looking for. Just as importantly, it is a chance to get to know the people who work there and give a good impression of yourself, which could help if you decide to apply for an apprenticeship position there in the future.
