Health & Safety Passport

Health and safety in the workplace is becoming increasingly complex. Legislative requirements are demanding, with severe penalties imposed for failure. Rising insurance premiums and lost-time accident costs are placing an additional burden on employers. The Passport is designed to be suitable for all employees in shop floor, operator or teamworker roles, irrespective of their existing skills and learning capabilities. An advanced Passport PLUS scheme is also available for supervisors, foremen, team leaders and managers.

Business Benefits

The Health & Safety Passport scheme gives your business:

  • a standard of employee practice recognised as a minimum level of good health and environmental practice
  • evidence that your employees fully understand and are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and their colleagues, and are capable of reducing the risk of accidents
  • development and assessment that is directly relevant to each individual employee and their place of work
  • individual certification recognising employees’ achievement of a national standard which can be used to negotiate preferential insurance premiums with a growing number of brokers
  • evidence of responsible employer practice in the event of an accident investigation
